The Black Box Theatre at McHenry County College presents PIPPIN with book by Roger Hirson and music and lyrics by Stephen Schwartz. PIPPIN is an electrifying tale that dazzles audiences with a kaleidoscope of sights and sounds. Prince Pippin, son of Charlemagne, embarks upon a quest for true fulfillment, seeking his own corner of the sky. He relishes the glories of the battlefield, savors the temptations of the flesh and embroils himself in political intrigues. But neither war, sex, revolution nor domesticity can satisfy him as he searches for the peace he is missing from his life. Stephen Schwartz's vibrant pop-rock score features "Magic to Do," "Morning Glow" and "Corner of the Sky."
Pippin will be performed on March 4,5,6,11,12,13,14,18,19,20. All performances will begin at 7:30 with the exception of the Sunday, March 14th matinee which will begin at 2:00. Tickets are $10.00 for students, faculty/staff, seniors and alumni and $15.00 for general public.
