Drawing and Composition I
Instruction in the drawing and shading techniques of pencil, ink, felt-tip pen, and other black and white media. Emphasis is on drawing as a contemporary art medium.
Drawing and Composition II
Advanced instruction in various drawing media introducing color to the previous black and white media. Emphasis is on drawing as a contemporary art medium.
Drawing and Composition III
The study of advanced drawing concepts and techniques. Traditional and non-traditional media will be utilized towards the development of a personal style. This course may be repeated 3 times to a maximum of 12 credit hours.
Life Drawing
Introduction to human figure drawing techniques using both draped and undraped models. Various media will be used to develop skills in accuracy, composition, and anatomical knowledge.
Life Drawing II
Advanced study in human figure drawing techniques through observation using draped and undraped models. Further development of anatomical knowledge, accuracy, compositional skills and issues of content will be explored through various media.
