WorkKeys® assessments measure an individual's skills and the competency levels required to successfully perform a job.
MCC uses WorkKeys® assessments to evaluate how well we're preparing graduates for jobs in different occupations. Any student seeking an Associate’s Degree in an Applied Science or Certification is required to participate in the end-of-program testing.
Businesses use WorkKeys® job profiling to analyze the skills necessary for specific jobs in their organizations. These profiles offer a way for businesses to describe to educators, students, and job applicants the skills they need for particular jobs.
Job applicants can use their WorkKeys® scores to determine how their skills measure up to those required.
The state of Illinois uses the WorkKeys® Proficiency Certificate for Teacher Assistants to document that teacher aides/paraprofessionals have demonstrated knowledge of reading/language arts, writing and mathematics, as required by The No Child Left Behind Act.
