2016 Spring Play
The Black Box Theatre is proud to present the classic musical Anything Goes. A shining example of classic musical theatre with epic tap dancing, a madcap book and a wonderfully unexpected and romantic happy ending, the unforgettable Cole Porter score includes De-Lovely, I Get a Kick Out of You, You’re the Top and, of course, the great title song, Anything Goes. Set aboard the S.S. American, the singing-dancing ocean liner overflows with wealth, sailors, a stowaway, gangsters, an evangelist, Wall Street brokers and the most irresistible of showgirls, the brassy-but-lovable Reno Sweeney.
Anything Goes will be directed by Jay Geller (Kildeer), with musical direction by Michael Hillstrom (Woodstock), Choreography by Maggie McCord (Crystal Lake), Musical Conductor Dr. Paige Lush, set design by Thomas Kesling (Glenview), lighting design by Rick Amundsen (Woodstock), costume design by Susan Cowell (Harvard) and stage manager Kathryn McCord (Crystal Lake).
