Community members are invited to check their risk for stroke or heart disease from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 15 at McHenry County College. The college is located at 8900 U.S. Hwy. 14 in Crystal Lake.
Centegra’s Mobile Health Unit will be parked outside the Luecht Conference Center entrance in parking lot B. The screening will give participants confidential results of several risk factors, including an ultrasound of the carotid artery to detect plaque buildup, Ankle Brachial Index (ABI) measurements to detect blockage risk and Peripheral Arterial Disease (PAD), heart rhythm EKG readout to detect Atrial Fibrillation, risk level for Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm (AAA), Body Mass Index (BMI), pulse and blood pressure numbers.
