The McHenry County College Continuing Education Department announces a new partnership with Ed4Online to offer in-demand online career training certificate programs.
Programs are available to start anytime at a student's convenience. Certificate programs include CompTIA Health Information Technology (HIT), CompTIA Health Information Technology with Exam Prep and Electronic Health Records.
The CompTIA Health Information Technology course covers how to organize and secure health information to improve the quality, safety and efficiency of the healthcare delivery system. The CompTIA Healthcare IT Technician Exam Prep course prepares students to pass the Healthcare IT Technician certification examination (CompTIA HIT-001).
The nation's health care delivery system is rapidly being transformed by computer-based health information systems, especially with the use of electronic health records. The Electronic Health Records course answers the need for health care students to understand the entire medical office workflow process.
According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor, the job outlook for medical records and health information technicians is expected to increase by 21 percent through 2020. The newly-added HIT and CompTIA HIT Exam Prep course will serve to enhance the abilities of individuals working in medical settings, who deal primarily with information technology and data entry.
