  4. Are there minimum and maximum enrollment numbers?

Classes with enrollment insufficient to support their operation will be canceled and students will be notified by phone. Each instructor chooses a maximum number of students with the normal class size being 15. Discovery Crew classes may have a lower maximum number. You will receive a letter from the Kids and College office the week of the class informing you of the classroom number, what entrance to use and reminding you of the drop-off and pick-up times.

  7. How do I know if my child meets the eligibility requirements for the Kids on Campus (4th through 8th grades) classes?

Begin by reviewing your child’s standardized tests. If you believe your child is at +/= 95% on at least one part of the test, contact your local school to verify your findings. Once that has been verified, contact the gifted resource teacher at your school or the Kids and College office at (815) 479-7559 for an eligibility form. The form should then be signed by the principal or the gifted resource teacher and forwarded to the Kids and College office. You will not be able to register your child for a Kids on Campus class until the eligibility form is on file in the Kids and College office. This is a onetime procedure.
