| Habitat: | Old growth high quality forest habitat. They feed, however, in disturbed areas such as along roadways.

| Comment: | These bats have been identified as important pest-eaters, clearing insects which cause destruction to agricultural and forest areas. They may be found hibernating in wood piles and along cliff faces.
