English as a Second Language (ESL)

We specialize in serving adults who cannot read and/or speak English at a functional level. Most courses and services are free to students.

• an adult whose native language is not English and are not a graduate of a U.S. high school? Take Beginning ESL ⇒
• a non-native speaker who wants to prepare for college-level courses or improve business communication? Take Advanced ESL ⇒
• an adult who speaks at an intermediate level but wants to practice to gain confidence in conversational English? Take Advanced Conversation ESL ⇒

What you need to know about ESL classes at MCC:

• ESL has registration throughout the semester.
• Registration takes approximately 2 and 1/2 hours. Review registration information ⇒
• You may attend as many locations as your schedule permits.
• We have morning, afternoon and evening ESL classes at MCC and throughout the area.
• Please note: students who have a J-1 Visa may not be eligible for free tuition. View tuition and fees ⇒
