The GED examination preparation course covers

The subject matter we review in class depends upon your skills and needs. You determine the pace of instruction. While a few students complete their goals in five weeks, others require additional time to prepare for the GED exam. You may re-enroll in classes until you successfully complete the GED examination.

If you're not reading at a 9th grade level, you will be enrolled in a reading class and instructed in pre-GED skills.

Please note: you can buy the suggested book at the MCC Bookstore for about $20.00.

GED-i Online Course

You can now prepare for the GED online! If you are a self-starter, have good reading skills and are comfortable using computers, you can succeed in a GED-i class.

Before registering for GED-i, you must complete a placement test, score at an 11.0 reading level, and schedule an appointment for a GED-i orientation.

Before the orientation, we recommend you read an introduction to the GED-i for an overview of the program.
