The Emergency Medical Technician - Paramedic Certificate includes three paramedic modules and one internship semester. You will receive 17 hours of college credit and a certificate from the Illinois Department of Public Health to practice in the state of Illinois as a licensed paramedic. This training is considered advanced emergency care and can be a stand-alone profession or can be linked to a fire service career. Non-fire students can work as a technician in a hospital or clinic with this certificate.
