Shel is a business management student looking to work in the hospitality industry. With a baby due mid semester, Shel took advantage of the Distance Ed option at MCC to continue her studies while saving time and energy for her new arrival.
"Online classes allowed me to do my class work on my own schedule," she said. "Especially after having my baby, my schedule changed dramatically. With online classes I didn't need to sacrifice time away from my new baby and home life."
After completing her studies at MCC, Shel plans to transfer to a four-year school and pursue a bachelor's degree in business management with a minor in hospitality management.
"I feel that MCC has prepared me to take my college education to the next level. At MCC I have taken a variety of courses that have truly broadened my horizons. Especially through distance education, I've improved my work ethic and developed valuable study skills that I will carry with me into my future."
