Illinois partnerships and resources
McHenry County College is in partnership with many Illinois organizations that help support distance learners at MCC. These partnerships include the Illinois Virtual Campus, IVC Tutor, and the Illinois Community
College Online (ILCCO).
- IVC: Illinois Virtual Campus
- The IVC was formed to provide the citizens of Illinois access
to a variety of educational resources and support networks. The
IVC directory lists baccalaureate programs, graduate study, and
professional development options that are offered throughout every
college and university in the state of Illinois. Information regarding
online courses, telecourses, two-way interactive videoconferencing
courses, and satellite courses is available through the IVC directory.

The following MCC student support services are available to any student
taking courses listed with the IVC:
- IVC Tutor
- The IVC Tutor is a Web-based tutoring system that uses qualified college tutors to support student’s instructional needs. The IVC Tutor can be access at http://www.ivctutor.info
- ILCCO/ICE
- ILCCO is a state-wide initiative designed to support community colleges involved with online course delivery.
Students enrolled in an Internet Exchange Course (ICE) are considered MCC students and ICE courses are noted in the credit schedule. Student transcripts will document ICE courses as MCC courses.
