Head Coach Howie Bierman

Coach Howie Bierman began his McHenry County College tenure in 2002. Prior to coaching at MCC he was head coach for the Elgin Community College women's softball team for several years where he had one Academic All-American and seven Academic All-Conference players.

He also coached at Barrington and Burlington High Schools. He was a part of the coaching staff for the 18 and under summer travel team, The Lake County Liberty and has been a Specialty Coach for Hitting and Pitching at Player's Choice Academy in Huntley for many years.

Coach Bierman feels that with solid recruiting classes, if the girls work hard and if the pitching and defense is strong, the Scots should be competing favorably at the conference and regional levels, every year. Annual goals include winning the conference championship and making it to final four in the NJCAA regional. He tells his players to "work to the best of their ability and to achieve the goals that they set for themselves at the beginning of the year."

Coach Bierman is now semi-retired and lives in Elgin.

With solid pitching and defense, the Scots should be a contenders for conference and regionals.
