Does the Art Department offer photography courses?
Yes, we offer a large number of photography courses including:
Working in the photo lab.
What equipment is available to photography students?
Our state of the art lab/studio/darkrooms have:
- 24 enlarger B & W darkroom with 35mm to medium format capability (10 stations up to 4x5)
- 7 individual enlarging rooms - All color/B&W equipped and formats from 35mm to 4x5 capable
- A unique workroom/lab devoted to alternative (antique) processing, color printing and Polaroid transfers
- Color print processor up to 16x20 prints
- Complete studio lighting equipment including bot strobe and quartz lights
- Large format loaner cameras for use in the advanced studio lighting and large format class
- A separate Mac Lab for digital classes
- 24 iMac computers with monitors that are calibrated regularly
- 2 Epson Stylus Pro 4800 ink jet printers
- 2 HP laser printers - one color and one B&W tabloid size
- 2 Epson 4990 photo/film scanners
- 1 Nikon Coolscan 5000 scanner and slide feeder
- Open studio/lab time available to both traditional (wet) photography and digital photography students
