Does the Art Department offer photography courses?

Yes, we offer a large number of photography courses including:

photo students in the lab
Students working in the photo lab.

What equipment is available in the darkroom?

Our state of the art darkroom has:

  • 7 mini color darkrooms with enlargers
  • 2 color processors (NuTek for negatives that make up to 16x20 prints and a Cibachrome processor)
  • Complete strobe and quartz studio equipment with backgrounds
  • Complete strobe and quartz studio equipment with backgrounds
  • Large format loaner cameras for use in studio and large format class
  • Mac Lab for digital photography that has 24 iMac G5 computers, 4 printers, and scanners

What job opportunities are available to photography majors?

Students who earn a degree in photography work as:

  • Photojournalists
  • Freelance photographers
  • Photographers in agencies, studios, and auction houses
  • Photography teachers
